Defects Free - Triple Sorting
Each bean goes through a minimum of 3 rounds of sorting for defects before they're packaged.

1. Water density sorting are used to ensure only the ripest, highest quality beans make it to your cup. The unripe and bad cherries float to the top. The ripe, sweet and flavorful cherries will sink to the bottom. Only the ripe cherries will be used for processing.

2. To get ready for processing, the ripe cherries go through another round of sorting, but this time manual hand sorting to meticulously separate the ripe gems from the unripened counterparts.

3. Then the cherries go through processing. After processing, the beans go through the final round of sorting for defects before the green beans are packaged into GrainPro Tech bags to safeguard against moisture, pests, and oxidation.

4. At River Phin Coffee, we take samples of the packaged green beans to grade the green beans' quality, roast and cup and give it a final SCA (Specialty Coffee Association ) score calibrated by three certified Qgraders. Any feedback from this phase will be sent back to the farmers.
